While more than a third of Dutch citizens strongly disagree with the statement that “the Netherlands should leave the European Union, more than 50% of Wilders’s PVV supporters strongly agree with the statement.

 

By more than two to one (35% strongly disagree to 16% strongly agree) Dutch citizens strongly oppose the Netherlands leaving the European Union.

Dutch citizens scoring highest on PPS are much more  likely to agree (25%) the Netherlands should leave the European Union than those with the lowest PPS.

 

Under 15% of Dutch citizens scoring highest on SSMP oppose the Netherlands leaving the European Union. By contrast, just over 45% of them strongly agree with Nexit.

 

Support for Nexit is highest (over 50%) among the supporters of Wilders’s PVV

 

In a model with PPS, ideology, SSMP and a wide range of demographics included as independent variables, Dutch  citizen’s scoring higher on PPS are more likely to strongly agree that the Netherlands should leave the EU.

Dutch citizens with higher SSMP scores are even more likely to agree that Holland should leave the EU.
