French citizens are more likely to agree that it is important to live in a country where people respect the country’s traditions. French citizens with the highest Populism Propensity Score, however, are even more likely to agree with this proposition.

Approximately, 43% of French citizens (red bar) agree it is very important to “respect the country’s traditions.”

The difference between those scoring highest and lowest on PPS when it comes to respecting French traditions is significant. Two thirds of French citizens with the highest PPS say it is very important to “live in a country where people respect the country’s traditions.” By contrast, less than a third of French citizens with the lowest PPS agree that this is very important and over 20% fall on the “not at all important” side of the answer scale.
